Liebe Freunde, wir laden euch herzlich zur Eröffnung des Mosaiks „Mehr Gelb!“ ein.

Ein dreimonatiger öffentlicher Workshop fand diesen Sommer im toZomia space statt. Die Künstlerin Anna Khodorkovskaya hat gemeinsam mit allen Interessierten ein Mosaik für den Sockel des Gebäudes Gleis21 entwickelt.

Tag für Tag, Stein für Stein, wurde das Stück über 11 Meter lang. Im Oktober wurde das Mosaik montiert und es bleibt dort, um den Moment des gemeinschaftlichen Engagements, der Co-Creation und unserer gelben Stimmung zu dokumentieren. Wir freuen uns, wenn Ihr kommt und mit uns im toZomia feiert!

Das Mosaik ist Teil des Projekts „thishousebylines“. Unter diesem Titel realisierten Daniel Aschwanden, Barbara Eichhorn und Joanna Zabielska im letzten Jahr ein multidimensionales, urbanes Kunstprojekt: Eine temporäre Raumskulptur aus recycelten Baumaterialien der Umgebung, welche durch die Künstler*innen selbst und durch interessiertes Publikum bespielt bzw. performativ bezeichnet wurde.

Opening of the mosaic installation

Dear friends, we coordially invite you to he opening of the mosaic “More yellow!”

A three-months-long public workshop took place this summer at the toZomia space. Artist Anna Khodorkovskaya together with the all willing to participate made a mosaic for the front side of the house Gleis21. Day by day, stone by stone, the piece became more than 11 meters long.

In October the mosaic was applied to the house. And it will stay there to document the moment of community engagement, of co-creation and of our yellow mood. We will be happy if you come and celebrate it with us at toZmia!

The mosaic is a part of the project “thishousebylines”. Under this title, Daniel Aschwanden, Barbara Eichhorn and Joanna Zabielska realized a multidimensional, urban art project last year: A temporary spatial sculpture made of recycled building materials from the surrounding area, which the artists themselves and the interested public used in performative way.
